Can't install CC "Another Installer is already running"

I have been trying for 2 days to install Creative Cloud and it won't do it beacuse it says another installer is already running. These are the steps I have done so far:

 

-Downloaded "Adobe uninstaller" and ran it just to see if anything installed from failed attempts.

-Ran Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool.

-Restarted computer

-Went in "Task Manager" and turned off Windows Installer and anything else labeled "Updater"

-Went into the Windows Installer Service and hit "Stop"

 

It is still not working, any ideas?

do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

check for, and if available, update your os

  • Issue - I can't install Creative Cloud on my new computer, I constantly get  "Another Installer is already running" even though I have turned everything off in Task Manager. I have tried using the cleaner. Installing in safe mode. nothing seems to work. And as I said it is a new computer so I am starting from scratch.  HELP! I NEED THIS FOR A JOB I AM STARTING THIS WEEK!

 

  • Adobe Premiere Pro version number: starting with a clean install so the latest version of everything (Creative Cloud, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
  • Operating system - Windows 11
  • System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:
    • CPU -Core i9 14900K

    • GPU-Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU with 12GB of VRAM

    • RAM-32GB of DDR5 RAM

    • Hard Drive-2TB NVMe SSD

  • Video format: NA-this is for Creative Cloud

Steps to reproduce - (Very important!)
1. Download "Creative Cloud Setup"

2. Attempt to install

3. get "Another Installer is already running" error

4. Pull up task manager, turn off anything that says installer.

5. Restart

6. Boot up "Creative Cloud Setup"

(repeat steps 3-6 for infinity)

  • Expected result - It should install CC and then Premiere
  • Actual result -  get "Another Installer is already running" error

if windows is your os, repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired (use google if you don't know how to do this)

if windows is your os update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated (use google if you don't know how to do this)

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials>

if that fails, you probably have a corrupt user account. google your os and how to create a new one.
