Creative Cloud without cloud storage

Hi,

I am trying to use creative cloud on my work laptop (but for personal usage during lunch breaks), however my company has a strict "no cloud storage" policy which gets my laptop cut from the network and to regain access I need to format the laptop.

I am able to install and run the software, but the included cloud storage triggers the policy.
Is there a way to install (for example) photoshop without needing to have the cloud storage?

Hi Veldang,

You can definitely use the Creative Cloud apps without using the storage. Make sure you don't turn on the sync files to sync the file to cloud.

Core Creative Cloud Services
Certain services are not displayed in the Adobe Admin Console, are core to the product function, and are always on with a plan that includes storage. Core services are not configurable. The following is a list of the core services:

File Syncing
Sync Settings
Collaboration
Storage
Creative Cloud Libraries
Color CC

Your reply does not seem topical to a solution; the article linked lists storage as non-configurable, and apart of 'core services'. So Adobe, is forcing users to use its storage offering. IT's compliance clearly is not a consideration Adobe cares about

This answer does not apply to regulated companies; users could exfiltrate data via their Adobe account to other devices. There needs to be a way to disable online storage. Thoughts?

It's been a frequent question from customers, asking how could they go with the Creative Cloud because they didn't want to share their copyrighted work publicly...

So yes, it definitely should be noted that storing or sharing any of your files or images on the Creative Cloud is not a required part of membership – it is an available benefit that is completely optional, and in full control of the member.

With CC desktop software (just like before), you edit locally and save your files locally. It's your choice if you want to also upload your files to the Creative Cloud online storage space (it's not mandatory).
