After weeks with Adobe trying to get Fireworks back - the only app I use (I have creative cloud all apps ) I get this message when I try to use the 'License' button to sigh in to my account. Its been WEEKS of asking Adobe.
It is new - same message on both laptops I have - and I have not done anything new. Its the only that opens as a trial.
I have never had a CD or serial number - it was just part of my suite.
Anyone know of a work around - its the only app I use for media/ graphics etc.

Support for Internet Explorer was recently dropped, so updates will need to be made for the computer to securely access Adobe services and websites.^JW

Thanks - I am using supported browser etc - and its only fireworks Im getting that messge for. Surely if there was an actual issue I wouldnt be able to access all other Adobe online services.

You must not be facing this issue.
So you think the change ONLY applies to fireworks?
Really.
It is the only app that is affected. I have access to everything else in my plan. My browser etc all up to date.

are you a windows or mac user?
the past 3 users with an update browser issue when trying to use cs6 were successful with offline activation:
Launch the product.
At the Serial Number Validation screen, click Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet.
Click Offline Activation and click Generate a Response Code.
Write down the Request Code.
Switch to an online computer and navigate to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated.
Click Offline Activation.
Sign in with your Adobe ID.
Enter your Request code and click Generate.
Write down the Response code.
Switch back to the offline computer.
Enter the Response Code and click Activate.

i don't think you can use offline activation with a non-serialized app.
what is your default browser? (it doesn't matter which one you usually use, it matters which the os has assigned as default.)

What about for users that have a Creative Cloud Subscription and install Fireworks through the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application?
They would not have a Fireworks serial number, so thay are unable to use the offline activation method.

there's no better place for complaints. if and how it helps to complain here is questionable.

Just to followup on this.. it is a fireworks installer issue.. not his/her browser.. the CC fireworks insataller has no serialization so Fireworks appears to be non working .. I cannot beleive they would just say it is gone forever..if so let people use for free then! I need FW back! I don't need the new apps that are more AI bloatware then anything else!
