Different VAT tax while purchasing

Community Beginner ,
Jul 28, 2017 Jul 28, 2017

Hello,
I tried to purchase a yearly subscription for Lightroom+Photoshop. Paid in advance.
When I'm typing my VAT ID the tax changes from 23% to 0%.
Unfortunately, in the next step (PayPal) system wants to charge me additional 23%.

I'm afraid I'll get the 0% invoice while paying the 23% VAT.
Therefore, I'll face the need to pay the tax twice and the invoice could not be booked.

I contacted Customer Support and I'm not very pleased with that.
The consultant did not even try to understand the problem, just gave me the UK phone nr to Sales Support and turned off the chat without even waiting for my answer.

I would strongly prefer not to contact foreign support line due to cost, time of waiting and language barriers.

Could someone please look into the issue? I've seen similar post from few years back that has not been solved yet.

Hi Marta,

I apologize for the trouble that you have been facing while purchasing our subscription.

Would it be fine if I get a Sales call arranged for you?

Regards,

Sheena

Hello Sheena, thank you for your answer.
I'd prefer contact via mail if that's possible.

I believe everyone from EU with VAT ID trying to purchase the subscription is facing the same problem though.
The best solution would be to fix the issue (I've read that people have to personally ask for the invoice with the 23% tax, so it would match the purchase) or to give the answer on the forum, so that the whole community can benefit from time we put into this conversation.

Have a nice day,
Marta

Hi Marta,

Could you try to check the same over a different browser? Or try to clear the cookies/cache of the current browser and then check.

Regards,

Sheena

Hello Sheena,
that does not seem to help unfortunately.
Still facing the same issue.

I really wouldn't mind to pay this tax now, but I have to be sure the invoice will also be 23% not 0%.

And still, absolutely nothing is sorted out.
Is it really so hard for Adobe to keep an invoice and charge even?

Hi Marta,

Please see Managing your Membership FAQ: How do I print a payment receipt or invoice for the invoice queries.

Can you please let me know if you are still not able to place the order?

Regards,

Sheena

Sheena, I do not want to print the invoice.
I want the invoice to state the same as charge.

It's the only problem I have.
I can place the order anytime but will not do so as long as both platforms (Adobe and PayPal) shows different amount to pay.
Or if I get a guarantee that invoice will be showing 23% tax that I have to pay, not 0, as Adobe claims.

Please read my first post once again and see the screenshot I posted above.

Marta, would it be fine if I can get sales call arranged for you wherein they will be able to help you out the billing queries?

Sheena, I'm sorry but I feel like we are not getting anywhere with this conversation, both on public forum and private messages.
I told you a few times already that I strongly would not like to get sales call me and prefer contact via mail or private message here.

What if I told you that I'm deaf or mute? Will you ask me the same for the 5th time?

Please, just try to understand what I'm trying to say to you.

Purchasing is a basic functionality and it is not working properly at the moment.
It influences my work for quite some days now. I just can't believe it is so hard to get it sorted out.

Adobe, please, get yourself together.

Ok, it's 6th day without proper answer for a pretty straightforward question about basic functionality.
That's it, I'm fed up fighting with Adobe.
Switching to alternatives after 10 years. Farewell.
