I wish to subscribe my CC but I could't find info about what will happen to my pictures and metadata in the case I will decide to drop my subscription to cc.

Will I still be able to access my pictures together with the changes I will do with Luightroom or not?

I understood pictures remains on my desktop but if I will not feature CC subscription any time in the future how to get my images?

tks. Rob

Hi Rob,

I copied an answer from here: Adobe Creative Cloud FAQ

What happens to my photos if I end my membership

You'll still have access to all your photos on your local hard drive through Lightroom for the desktop. You can continue to import and organize photos as well as output your edited photos through Export, Publish, Print, Web, or Slideshow. Access to the Develop & Map modules and Lightroom for mobile are not available after your membership ends.

So that should address part of your question. The way Lightroom works is the catalog just stores links to where the originals reside on the hard drive. Metadata in the files stays in the files. New metadata may be saved in the catalog but can be saved into the pictures if you want based on your settings. Also, Lightroom will continue to run without a membership but you lose the ability to edit images.

Hopefully that helps, I'd suggest posting in the Lightroom forum if you have further questions: Photoshop Lightroom  They should be able to help if you want more specific details.

Best,

- Dave
