dynamiclinkmediaserver 20Gb RAM USEAGE!

Hi,

So the above mentioned process is running constantly using up 19.39GB of RAM! I read on these forums that it was a by product of lightroom, so I deleted that useless app, however the problem remains and its pretty constant.

i have the latest version of CC products installed - all up to date

my Mac is as follows -

  Model Name:    iMac

  Model Identifier:    iMac17,1

  Processor Name:    Intel Core i5

  Processor Speed:    3.3 GHz

  Number of Processors:    1

  Total Number of Cores:    4

  L2 Cache (per Core):    256 KB

  L3 Cache:    6 MB

  Memory:    32 GB

  Boot ROM Version:    164.0.0.0.0

Any assistance would be appreciated - we cant expect Adobe to actually release stable working software anymore ( as if we ever could)

did you properly uninstall lr?

if not, use the cc desktop app to reinstall the lr you moved to the trash.  make sure it's the correct one - there are two.

then properly uninstall it using the cc desktop app, Uninstall or remove Creative Cloud apps and restart your computer.

Hi kglad thanks for the response - I used the creative cloud app to uininstall the program. So am i correct in assuming that the Creative Cloud app cant be trusted to remove the application even though it gives me the option to uninstall it?

Also, do i need to uninstall the entire creative cloud and all its apps using that link you provided or do I only need to uninstall lightroom?

To be on the safe side, I would uninstall everything  --   LR Classic, LR CC, Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop,  CC desktop app, etc....  Restart computer and check to ensure the memory leak has stopped before reinstalling anything.
