Having trouble installing Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 on Mac High Sierra

I recently purchased Lightroom 6 as my new camera doesn't support my old Lightroom 5, however I am having significant issues installing the new edition. For some reason, after I initialize the installation, I receive an error message about 2% in saying that installation failed. The first time I attempted downloading this, I also received a few popups saying that this current edition was not optimized for Mac High Sierra, but I haven't been able to download an updated edition, since I only can download an update for the already existing Lightroom 6, which I do not have. This is all from the official adobe website. I'm just confused on what to do from here. I've attempted restarting my computer and performing all of the advised actions, but nothing seems to work.
