I finally ditched the CD and downloaded the product.
Now for the 3rd time trying to run the installer, it gets stuck at 14% (AdobeHelp) with the time going up to 300minutes! ![]()

Hi Choupitte,
If your CS5 Illustrator serial number was purchased for Windows, it will not work for Mac. CS5 programs are platform specific.

The cd came with a course I had purchased. It only says "education" on it, no specifications for which platform.
How would I go about verifying that?

Hi Choupitte,
If you had this program installed on a Windows machine previously and your Mac is not accepting the serial number, it is most likely a Windows version. You may be able to run it on your Mac if you install Windows via Bootcamp or similar program, but there is no guarantee.
