It should be a simple and straightforward question...but this being Adobe, it's anything but.
So, simple question: how do I download After Effects and Premiere Pro 2021? They're not showing up as old versions of the apps anymore.
I have a standalone installer for AE2018, which I've guarded more or less with my life because it's the last version that had ray tracing (yes I still use that for things, C4D doesn't do transparency). I never thought I'd need to hunt down installers like that for the 2021 apps, but they're proving invaluable because in a lot of ways they work better than 2023 does.
Help???
For anyone else reading this... you should always copy installers to at least one external drive in case of a hard drive failure
Adobe now offers the current and ONE older version via the online program manager
You must ask chat support for a link if you need to have any version 2020 programs
Go here for all older links https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html
Prodesigntools is an official Adobe partner, and the links go to Adobe, not a 3rd party site

So to elaborate on why I'm frustrated: my first stop was customer service...but I was rapidly shuffled to a technical support person, who first asked which app I was having trouble with, and then when I explained what I wanted, the first thing they did was ask me to list my system specs...which had nothing to do with what I actually asked.
I promptly disconnected and tried again. The rep I got this time seemed to actually understand, but at first all they wanted to do was agree with me that nothing earlier than 2022 was available. I got very specific with them about what my question was and what acceptable answers were, and they sent me direct links to the 2021 installers. So if you're in this situation, and you want to get these old programs straight from Adobe, here they are:
AfterEffects 2021:
Premiere Pro 2021:
Media Encoder 2021:

** there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:
chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies, and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam,
