I have a school license and I want to download CC on a different computer, but since the original activation did not come with a serial code, I cannot do so. Help?

My school (UC Berkeley) gives students a copy of Adobe CC, which usually allows users to have 2 devices activated at once. I am in the process of switching laptops, but I cannot seem to activate CC on the new laptop since I wasn't given a serial code when I got the product.

I've been using CC for 7 months with no problems without the serial codes, so I don't think there should be a problem.

I do.

I think it may have something to do with my license being for the 2014 line, as when I updated photoshop to 2015 on my old computer, it turned that one into a trial as well.


Chris I would advise you to Contact Customer Care where the agent can check the account details and confirm the same to you.

Hi,

There are no serial numbers associated with Adobe CC.

In case you still get the pop up for serial number, please refer to the help document below:

Creative Cloud applications ask for serial number

You may also try to check your host file for any Adobe blocked entries.

In case there are any blocked Adobe entries, please delete them and then save the file.

Hi Sheena,

Thanks for the reply. I've gone through the steps and confirmed that none of those steps are the issue.

What I did find was that my copy of CC is not in my "Plans & Products" section and that on my new laptop, only the "Try" option is available next to the different programs.

I have my original redemption code still, and I followed the steps correctly back in January to install and use the software. Any idea what I can do to get CC to work on my new laptop?
