Running El Capitan on an iMac. Have Lightroom 5 installed and using Lightroom mobile for about 10 days. Went to Adobe.com to install Lightroom 6 CC and got an error after the installation Configuration Error. A problem has occurred with the licensing of this product. You might want to try logging in as Root and running the applications there. It should help you determine if it is a file permission based issue. You can find more information on how to log in as Root at Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528

Logged on as root, and while there installed Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC. Both installed properly without the error. Logged out as room and then back into my account, and both work properly now. Not sure what happened but problem is solved, thanks. I will go to Correct below and make sure you get credit for the answer. Thanks.
