Hi,
I bought an Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Standard Student Edition for Mac in 2011. I recently bought a new Apple laptop running on macOS Sierra 10.12.6.
I've been trying to install my creative suite on the new device with the downloaded version. It doesn't work receiving the error message "„Install“ kann nicht geöffnet werden. Es empfiehlt sich, das Image auszuwerfen.". I don't have the option to allow any program with my gatekeeper, soI tried to run install via the terminal, but I received the same error message.
Then I tried to transfer the photoshop program data from my old laptop and tried to install photoshop with that, but I've been receiving error code 213:10 for that.
How can I reinstall the creative suite or photoshop/indesign on my new device?
Thank you in advance!
Sarah
Yes finally:
Download the Java extension;
Download the the Adobe install package;
restart computer;
double click the adobe installer dmg file;
double click on the CS file;
go to package content of install file;
go to Content/MacOS/install;
drag install file in open terminal;
press enter to start installing process
Good luck!

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra
-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates
-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or Sierra
--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility
--READ HERE https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916 for an Adobe solution to installing old programs, including a link to installing the old Java runtime that is required
Owners of old programs simply have problems with Mac El Capitan/Sierra... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Apple changed their operating system and THAT is why your old programs won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Apple issues an update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system

Thank you for the extensive answer. I already tried all these things and installed the required Java (I should have mentioned this, but I forgot!). Unfortunately I am still unable to install the program.
As a thinking person I am aware that Adobe did not change the data of the program and that it is not Adobe's fault that I updated on a better device, but thanks for reminding me.

hi,
even though this is for cs6, the recommendations to circumvent that error message is the same, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html
Thanks a lot! But that is exactly what I've tried already: "so I tried to run install via the terminal, but I received the same error message."

did you follow all 6 steps listed under "Creative Suite 5.5, 5, and 4"
if yes, google: "can not be opened. It is recommended to eject the image" site:adobe.com for other possible solutions.
