Adobe blocks serial numbers that are known to have not been issued by Adobe, or are known to have been used fraudulently by unauthorized sellers to produce counterfeit software. Unfortunately, you may only know the serial number has been blocked for this reason when re-activating or reinstalling Adobe software. There are several steps you can take if you receive this message, see: Invalid or revoked serial numbers.

Nice way to let people rent a program, i bought my program in 2015, i have installed it many times, but today it was banned.

the most common reasons are an illegal sale of the serial number (meaning you did not purchase from adobe and, almost always, you did not purchase from a usa vendor), or your serial number was found in the public domain.

Hi.

I know that, but since i bought it from an online computerstore almost 450usd and i still have the invoice, then i get very unhappy because its not the first time it happens, thats why i have that thought that adobe "collect" all old sold serial and say they are illegal in hope that peopel will "rent" the software, but i don't rent, even the windows is free i pay microsoft for it, so i must buy a new pdf editor since thats the only solution.

I bought my software from a local danish computerstore in 2018, the program was from an old killed computer from a company that was closed, they said they bought the licence so they could sell it and make some money.

2018 is a give-away. that license was too old to be legally sold without a license transfer.

well, check with adobe support and update this thread when you get a chance.

The version was a 2015 and i bought it in 2018, but i will contact them tomomorrow, thanks.

I will take that to mean that the program had been installed by the original buyer, which means that you would be required to do a license transfer form https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html

With at least 2 restrictions

-you may NOT sell or transfer an Education serial number
-you also may NOT sell/transfer if you used a program as the basis to buy an upgrade at a reduced price

Suit yourself.  Single purchase software suites are a thing of the past.

I'm afraid you'll be hard pressed to find any software (except freeware) that doesn't charge monthly/annual fees.

Your replies are really unhelpful. Many of us bought PERPETUAL licenses for the very reason that we don't want or don't have the means to shell out $59.99 month. And Adobe does revoke serials from customers even when purchased directly from them. I'm going through this for the second time since purchasing Adobe CS6. CS6 works perfectly 13 years later, there's no reason to keep re-buying software we have ALREADY PURCHASED. That's the point!!
