After downloading Audition CS 5.5 from "My Adobe" and entering a serial number it said that my number isn't valid and offered to ask support.

i certainly see no serial on the screen.
Yeah, at last i reached on-phone support and we figured out, what was that.
As i mentioned in reply â„–4 it was not exactly the file i needed in download-centre for CS5.5 products.
There was offered Audition_5_LS7, but my serial was for Audition_4_LS7- still they both CS5.5.
Customer support provided me with the link to download exact file.
The problem is solved, thank you.

Once again.
I do successfully use Adobe Audition CS5.5 on my PC installed from CD.
Now i need to install it on my new Mac Pro which is not provided with CD-ROM, that is why i downloaded an installer from the page attached as a screenshot and used my ever successful serial number from "My Adobe".
And it didn't work.
I'm a skilled user, the problem is in installation file probably. Check it for being really CS5.5.
As you can see on the lower screenshot i have serials for both platforms: PC&Mac.

If you're absolutely certain that you're entering your CS5.5 Mac serial number and it is not being accepted by the CS5.5 Mac installer, you'll have to contact Adobe Customer Care to resolve it

These answers seem NOT to be helpful, as i still cannot install my CS5.5
My first step was to look for an answer in forums - no use.
Next - to chat with expert - they sent me here.
Then - absolutely helpless dialogue here - which ONCE AGAIN redirect me to another level - telephone call.
After telephone call - still no use - as support center in Russia works only from 9a.m till 5 p.m Moscow time.
I spent 2 days for solving a small trouble in which no-one even tried to understand and figure out - what happens.
2 days!!!
is it helpful? No.
i offer you and your colleagues to figure out if it's really CS.5.5 in your download-center, or maybe it's CS6 that's just named like CS5.5 - that is probably reason, why it's not possible for me to activate it with my PURCHASED CS5.5 serial.

Can you create a screenshot of the error message and please remove the serial from the screen?
+ Error message can be the serial is valid but could not be validated
+ Error can be the serial is valid but not for the language you installed the software in.
+ Error can be you used a retail serial for a business license
Best to get to customer support.
