Hey there, I own a student edition of Master Collection CS4 for Windows, But am about to buy a Macbook Pro.    Someone told me that adobe will simply install on the system without having to use Parallels and Windows?

Is this true?

Need to know asap

Thanks

Hi Jamesrhartgraphics

Adobe CS 4 was platform specific application, you wouldn't be able to activate Windows serial number on a Macbook. Please check more information on: Exchange an Adobe product for a different language or platform version.

Let us know if you need any other information.

Thanks.

No, that is not true

You don't put diesel in a gasoline car, and you can't install Windows programs on a Mac... unless you wish to install http://www.parallels.com/ "emulator" on your Mac to run Windows programs

Hi James,

The applications will not run natively on Mac OSX. With Creative Cloud, your license allows you to download and install either Windows or Mac, but there's still a different application for each OS.

Prior to CS6, you needed a separate license to run on Mac vs. Windows.

So, given your pending purchase of a MacBook Pro, you could install Parallels and Windows, and run CS4; or you could upgrade to Creative Cloud and run everything natively.

That exchange link won't do any good for CS4... it only works for CS6 or the Cloud
