Hi All,

I need some advice please!

I am trying to re-download adobe fireworks CS5 onto a new computer as it was on my laptop but that went up in smoke (literally).

I have the serial number for it but I just can't find it to download? I know adobe discontinued but for what I need it is great.

Also as I can't access the laptop to remove the software will that cause any issues?

Can someone help please?

Thanks,

Steph

Thanks Steph for confirming. I would recommend renaming the 'Caps' folder as 'Caps.old' instead of deleting it as it may contain details related to other products as well.

Hi Bani,

Thanks for your reply - that is great thank you!

Only problem I have now is after I try to install ( after inputting serial number ) I get an install error 'Inconsistency in the installer database. Please restart your computer and install again.'.

I have restarted twice and it hasn't made a difference?

Many thanks,

Steph

Thanks for the update Steph, the link shared by Mukesh is what you need to resolve the issue, but before doing that please let us know if you have any other Adobe program installed?

If not then proceed with the troubleshooting given in Error "...Installer Database is Corrupt..." when installing Adobe Creative Suite 3 products.
