I need to remove VAT number from my photography plan as the plan is no longer payed for by a company. I have been in contact with Adobe support four time, twice by phone and twice by chat. Yet after nearly two months the VAT number is still registered on my account.
This is ridiculous, what do I need to do to have the VAT number removed?
Have your tried to access your account and change the appropriate payment settings?

I was fighting with them for some time now as well. But indeed, your workaround worked.

Yes, I tried that. Unfortunately the VAT number is the one thing you can not edit.

I have had the same issue! I need to update my VAT number. I've been in touch with support 4 times now during the past couple of months and they promised it would be changed each time, but still it has not been changed.

Hi! same problem here!!! 4 times I have requested the change and nothing happens. They are really something... I truly believe that their support system is non-existent. Did you manage to have your vat finally updated?

In fact you are able to remove the VAT from my account, by hilighting the vat number and press delete.
Then pressing SAVE.
However when returning in again it is still there

This was so helpful, I've tried to delete my VAT a few times and it kept reappearing. How odd that this is the only way to fix it. I'm really glad I found this workaround though. Thank you!

Unfortunatelly this does not work any more in the new "Manage payment method" popup (they had to change it very recenlty). VAT ID stays the same, even while adding new payment method. It is just prefilled with previous value. For now I see no way to remove any payment methods nor VAT ID from account.

A few years later it is still very helpful, thank you a lot!

Finally Adobe Support was able to remove my VAT ID right in the moment I have contaced them via chat! Previous 5 times they were not successful but issues vere marked as resolved. Just try now again.

follow @KanikaS's link to update your vat. if that fais and you need to contact support, there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter:
chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
phone:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html
twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-com...
