Hello,

I just installed Adobe Cloud Dreamweaver and have been using CS5 Dreamweaver. How do you REMOVE the auto highlighting of the tags within code view?

    Correct answer Nancy OShea

The silence is deafening... Earth to Adobe, Earth to Adobe. Hello Adobe.

In the latest versions of Dreamweaver CC, you must edit yout theme's main.less file.  See the post below for details.

Solution: White on Mint Green Code Color.

Do you mean you have been using Dreamweaver CC?

I was using Dreamweaver within the Creative Suite 5.

Looks like there’s some kind of ‘feature’ which will lock you out of editing (and highlighting) your tags.

Thanks John. Here's the screen shot. I can't edit anything within the actual div tag itself (div id, div class name, other code), and I can't remove the dark blue highlight.

I have since downloaded Notepad++. It also came defaulted with the same type of issue, but the fix was easy: I was able to click Settings, Preferences, Highlighting and then unclicked the two enable boxes for the Smart Highlighting and Highlight Matching Tags, and it works great.

Hopefully, you can help find the same type of 'Smart Highlighting' disable feature(s) in Dreamweaver. Thanks!
