Activation problems with APTEE tool!

Hey There, we have major problems with APTEE Tool on a provisioned Citrix 7.8 farm. The prov.xml file was created and serialized successfully on the master server, also it activates successful on the targets most of the time. But sometimes, Activation fails after restarting the target servers. After 2-3 Restarts, activation is successful... I asked Adobe support, they told me that they will not help me with this... Is there somebody that could help me out with this?

Our product version is "Acrobat Professional DC2015 12.0 MLP AOO License D (65258643)"

Hi,

Can you please share the following log files from the target server machine on which issue was observed to help analyze the root cause. These files will be present at the users's temp(%tmp%) location.

amt3.log

pdapp.log

oobelib.log

Also as a workaround for this issue please run the activation script (PRTK command line) during the server startup/ reboot and the issue will be resolved.

adobe_prtk --tool=VolumeSerialize [--provfile=] --stream

Hi Andre,

we are looking into the issue. As a workaround adding the batch file to qa computer policy should work.

Also it would be helpful if you can share all the log files amt3***.log/obelib***.log/pdapp***.log from "%temp%" folder for before and after reboot of the machine if you observe the issue again.

I am just thinking about how to get the batch file to work as I am not able to test it properly... If I run it with a computer policy, do I have to run it how it is or is it nessesary to run it as administrator? I am just a little confused on how to make sure that it runs properly...

I set up a bat file now for the activation which I assigned to a computer policy, computer policy runs with "SYSTEM" account, which has more rights than the administrator. The script contains the following commands:

We have XenApp Server restarts on next tuesday, so I will post here on wednesday Morning if it worked.

I am sorry for the late post.

Deploying the batchfile with the registration for the prov.xml with a computer policy seems to work so far. No reports of non activated Adobe Pro DC since wednesday morning.

I will check it again on next wednesday, and if you hear nothing, I will mark this thread as solved.
