Admins need ability to turn off generative AI features across all Creative Cloud apps by user group

I appreciate the toggle in Acrobat to be able to turn off generative features. But some of us admins need the ability in Admin Console to turn off generative features across any/all apps for our users and prevent them from using them. Those of us who work for organizations like publishing companies may need to do this as a matter of legal compliance, not just disagreements about AI development philosophy. We need to make sure that our editors and designers are not accidentally plaigiarizing or accidentally using content that should remain internal and is not yet approved for publication. Other tech vendors such as Google have given us this ability to manage our users. Adobe, we need this for your products as well. This technology promises great power, but with great power comes great responsibility, as well. Please help us use and manage this technology responsibly.

Hi @bon74320621,

Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the earlier confusion. What I meant to explain is that with an Enterprise contract, you can create a product profile and enable or disable specific services for the product you are managing. For more details, you can refer to these documents:

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hi @bon74320621,

Thanks for reaching out. Based on your query, it seems you need the ability in Admin Console to turn off generative features across any or all apps for your users and prevent them from accessing them. Please confirm if this is the issue you need assistance with. Adobe currently does not provide a direct toggle in the Admin Console to completely disable generative features across all apps.

As checked, you have an active Teams subscription associated with the Adobe ID used to post this query.

If you want to disable generative AI features for your entire organization, I recommend opening a support case through the Admin Console. Our team can guide you through the available options. Check this document for steps on how to raise a support case: https://adobe.ly/4158mf8

For other admins with enterprise subscriptions, access can be restricted through product profiles:

  • In Adobe Admin Console → Products, review the profiles assigned to users.

  • Do not assign profiles that include Adobe Express or Firefly-specific entitlements.

  • You can also enable or disable services for a product profile. In the Adobe Admin Console Products section, select the appropriate product.

  • Select the product profile and then select Details. In the Edit product profile window, navigate to step 3: Enable Services.

For more details, please check this document: https://adobe.ly/4lp2c0R

I will also share your request with the relevant team for future consideration. Thank you for helping us improve the product experience.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Regards,

^AN

I did start with support. They told me that it is not currently possible to block access to generative AI features (only individually in Acrobat) and to come here and request the feature. Are you saying that this does exist in the console for those with enterprise licenses? We are too small of a company for enterprise, but this control is still badly needed.
