We are a college with Adobe CC 2015 installed on 25 lab computers. We use device licenses and therefore Adobe CC Desktop is not installed on the lab computers as recommended by Adobe. Is it possible to for students to create themes using Adobe Color CC on their mobile devices and then import those themes on a lab computer? It appears the Adobe CC desktop software would be needed on the desktops in order to do it. Is that correct? Is there a workaround? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

To use Adobe Color you need to sign-in with an Adobe ID.

"You need either a free or paid Creative Cloud membership. If you’re not already a member, you can sign up for a free Creative Cloud membership."

https://helpx.adobe.com/mobile-apps/help/color-faq.html?set=mobile-apps--fundamentals--adobe-color-c...

Device licenses are per-machine rather than per-user and are usually chosen when several users are sharing a system and you don't want them to sign in.

So the two don't work well together. If you sign-in to the apps or via the desktop app then it will look for the license for that Adobe ID and if it does not find anything it will revert to trial.

If you plan to make use of services like Adobe Color you may want to investigate Creative Cloud for Teams.
