AUSST issues

New Here ,
Jan 30, 2018 Jan 30, 2018

Hi,

I've got an internal AUSST server that pulls updates directly from Adobe and I want my endpoint clients to pull the updates from the internal server using the overrides file created in the Creative Cloud Packager tool. However, I can't seem to get the endpoints to pull from the server, and they can't access Adobe themselves so we're currently unable to use Creative Cloud in our environment.

I opened a support call with Adobe, but they closed the call saying I'd not responded within 24 hours, despite me having responded within three hours and sending the files they requested via email.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Tom

Hi Tom,

Sorry for your troubles.

""I've got an internal AUSST server""  - Did you set it up, were the required steps followed - Use the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool (AUSST)

Have you already deployed the overrides file on all Client machines ?

Deploying client configuration files

To deploy the client configuration file for the Adobe Application Manager Updater on each client machine, you must write the correct platform version of the file to the following platform-specific location:

In Windows XP:

\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\AdobeUpdater.Overrides

In Windows 7/Vista:

\ProgramData\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\AdobeUpdater.Overrides

\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\UpdaterResources

In Mac OS X:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0/AdobeUpdater.Overrides

Hi Rohit,

Yes to both questions. I followed the guide and I have deployed the overrides file to client machines.

This is what happened last time. I was asked for logs, sent them, and had no response.

Can someone from Adobe please engage with your paying customers and respond to forum requests and email requests rather than ignoring and closing jobs?

Hi toms8436935 ,

I so apologies for missing this thread.

As per the logs i see error code 12029 which is a connectivity issue.

That error translates to ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT

You need to white-list all ports and urs listed in this Link - Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints on your server.

Then run a fresh Sync and recreate the overrides file.

Once that is done, please deploy the Overrides file to end users machines and then then try updating/installing there apps.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for your reply.

The server has unrestricted access, so this is not what is causing the issue.

Many thanks.

Tom

Hi Rohit,

I've tried connecting an endpoint to my personal hotspot so it's looking at a completely different network. Doing this allows me to install the Creative Cloud application on my endpoint but I get Error 502 when trying to load the applications. This is the same error I get when the endpoint is on the work network. This suggests it's not a network issue to me.

I've looked online and can't find a deal of help with Error 502 - is it possible for someone to call me and arrange a remote session to look at both my internal update server and also the endpoint so that I can get to the bottom of this. I have been going back and forth with Adobe for over a year with this issue.

I'm also seeing that updates are not pulled from my server, but rather directly from Adobe....  I used Fiddler to confirm all traffic is coming from Adobe's CDN....

The only thing that actually hits my webserver is the request for updaterfeed.xml - everything else connects to adobe directly.  Which means I'm wasting hundreds of gigs of space on Adobe's update files.....

I think they just flat out disabled the ability to pull updates from an internal server.

Hello James, here the same... I have an internal server for all the updates. The server is reachable in the browser and all is working fine. But still the Adobe Creative Cloud.app wants to reach the servers from Adobe even if the AdobeUpdater.Overrides-file is configured to look at the internal server.
