Our daily newspaper uses InDesign for layout and we have the creative Cloud All Access with all the apps. Is there a way to install JUST InDesign on my lapto for travel use with out installing the CC? Our CC is large and as we all know the CC installs all the files in it on each device that has access to the CC which bricks my MacBook Pro. I have an upcoming trip and just want to have InDesign and use the web version of CC. Is that possible? Or is it possible to shut off automatic CC file syncing / downloads? Help please

If you are talking, writing, about the Creative Cloud Desktop app you are misstaken on the space need to install it.
As for it Bricking your Mac that is a problem with YOUR Mac and not with the Adobe CC desktop app.
It is up to the company you work for what Adobe programs you can install on YOUR notebook.
So you should contact their IT team that deals with the Adobe programs they use.
Also there is no WEB version. All the Adobe programs get installed on the hard drive/s that are connected to that computer. They are NOT run from over the internet. Creative Cloud is just a Name.

I guess I should elaborate more
I am aware the actual programs are not web based. The InDesign doesn't take up that space nor does the CC application. I have the CC All Access so I have access to all the programs. I was talking about the web based CC Library access. You can go on safari / Chrone (whatever browser you use) and download individual files or assets.
what my issue is is the CC isn't technically a cloud storage service but rather a service to access my team's work from my computer and mine on theirs. When I try to install InDesign it automatically downloads and installs ALL of the libraries which is MASSIVE for a MacBook Pro and causes the "no storage space" error which essentially bricks or until I get rid of stuff.
What I want to do is download InDesifn on my laptop with nothing else not even CC and use the Adobe website to access my CC files while I'm out of town.
I hooe this was clearer

How is your program so small in size? When I am trying to install CC, even though I have 135 gigs free in my C drive (because CC installation doesn't give you flexibility to choose the installation location) it throws me error of insufficient memory!

the cc app has to be installed on your os drive, but the apps it installs can be elsewhere.

skip to clean your computer of cc, update your computer and then install.
reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:
Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R
if that fails, repair per https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html
if that fails and you have windows, open your control panel > add/remove programs > cc desktop app > repair
if that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes... and then reinstall using*
if that fails, do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:
uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes...
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
check for, and if available, update your os
if windows is your os, repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired (use google if you don't know how to do this)
if windows is your os update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated (use google if you don't know how to do this)
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials>
if that fails, you probably have a corrupt user account. google your os and how to create a new one.
