Can install CC15 but not anything newer

New Here ,
Aug 09, 2018 Aug 09, 2018

I've been trying to install the entire CC18 suite on my lab computers but it starts the installation and suddenly removes everything that installed and a message comes up that the install failed but there was no reason why.

I ran the creative cloud cleaner tool and had it removed everything adobe on the machine including CC15. When I tried to install again the same thing happened.

I was able to re-install the CC15 suite with no issue whatsoever. I downloaded a newly created CC19 package and it fails the same as CC18. What is going on that CC15 installs perfectly but I can't install anything newer.

I even tried to install the new versions one program at a time but they fail the same way.

Please help! I'm running out of summer before the students get back.

Thank you.

MichaelPilat, what method are you using to install the Creative Cloud applications?  From your original post, you indicated you were creating installation packages?  Does this mean your organization has a Creative Cloud for Enterprise membership?

I've recently created a package for my Mac's and then created the same package for our PC's. The Mac's work, the PC's don't.

When I create the package I choose...

Create Package

Save it to Desktop

Name it - CC2019

I Select 64bit

License Type is Device License

I select the Deployment Pool that our 78 licenses are in

Then I choose the 2019 apps.

Once its done, I click on the folder that was created and click on the CC2017 Windows Installer. It goes for a few mins, then the status bar goes backwards and everything installed to that point disappears.

I've done this twice and loaded back our old 2015 package without issue.

I appreciate your help!

Thanks for the update, MichaelPilat. I would recommend reviewing the install log on the machines you are deploying on to determine why the cause of the installation package failing to deploy.  Information on how to locate the install log can be found at Creative Cloud download and install errors .

Hi,

Your version of Windows 10 is not supported by some applications - XD and Dimension. These require Windows 10 Creators Update (64-bit) – Version 1703 (build 10.0.15063) or later

Adobe XD System requirements

So if XD and Dimension aren't supported, why doesn't a package with just Dreamweaver or Photoshop install either? Sorry if i'm coming across dense.

There are various reasons this could happen - conflicts on installation, insufficient hard drive space etc.

We can find out more from the installer logs such as PDApp.log - more details at the entry from Jeff above.
