CC sync shutting down oct 2024??

Community Beginner ,
Jul 27, 2023 Jul 27, 2023

Starting October 1, 2024

We will begin discontinuing the Creative Cloud content synchronization process as well as synced file and folder sharing, and permanently remove the cloud-based copies of files for users. We will begin discontinuing Creative Cloud Synced files for business customers. Assets in the local Creative Cloud Files folder on user devices will no longer be synchronized with Creative Cloud storage. User files will remain in their local Creative Cloud Files folder. Folders and assets previously shared from Creative Cloud Synced files will no longer be accessible to others including inside your organization as well as externally.

Note that users may not see these changes right away as we roll out the process gradually.

So, what the hell does this mean? What are you replacing this with? How will team projects in AE still function? How will remote teams function? What does this mean? This email, which is very alarming, has zero explanation.

Hi @adamlach ,

Creative Cloud Libraries is not being discontinued and will continue to function as before. It is the Creative Cloud files sync that is being discontinued.

Hi @Steve.Garcia,

Thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear about your experience.

For your reference, the update regarding the discontinuation of Creative Cloud Synced Files for organizations is mentioned in the "Notes" section of the following HelpX document. The relevant details are there.
Note: Starting December 11, 2023, new users and organizations will not be entitled to Creative Cloud Synced files. Starting February 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for personal accounts that existed before December 11, 2023 (learn more here). Starting October 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for business accounts associated with organizations that existed before December 11, 2023 (learn more here).

To support your transition, Adobe offers several powerful cloud-based solutions for storage and collaboration:

  • Cloud Documents: Sync and access work across devices in apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, Fresco, and Adobe Express. Autosave ensures updates and allows seamless transitions between apps.

  • Creative Cloud Libraries: Organize and share design assets, ensuring consistency across your team’s work.

  • https://adobe.ly/4gsr7hh: Share, review, and approve files quickly across web and mobile platforms, integrated with apps like Premiere Pro.

  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets: AI-powered asset management to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration.

We hope these alternatives meet your needs. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
^AN
