Hi

I need to know if it's possible to purchase a non-cloud based version of Adobe Acrobat Pro (DC?) for a business. Clients like to utilize the "conver to PDF" in Outlook 365,but we also have requirements that the data cannot be sent to the cloud or any cloud involvement.   Is this possible with the latest version?

(searched the forums all morning but they were not much help)

Acrobat is not "cloud based". Acrobat DC is a subscription service allowing local use of software - just like Office 365. But if you mean non-subscription, then the successor to Acrobat 2017 is Acrobat 2020 BUT internet connection is now required to install. But this is several years old and is also growing apart..

Acrobat DC is not cloud based and does not send info for conversion (provided you choose the right options). It is, however, a subscription product and must remain on the internet to check the subscription is valid. Bear in mind it must be purchased by the single, personal, non-transferrable end user - the regular software cannot belong to a business (and if the person leaves the business, it's a nice gift to them!)  Team licenses may be preferable.

There is also Acrobat 2020, which is a single purchase, but also for use by a single user; internet access needed to install.

Thank you

The business is around 100+ employees.  So is there an Adobe based teams version non-cloud based?

We run 2017 Acrobat now and users are starting to have issues as Office 365 is being updated and the versions are growing far apart.  If I were to purchase, do you have a link?

Thank you

Thank you.

& if we purchase Acrobat DC Pro (which has the convert to PDF option)  how do we tell the application to not use the cloud?  Is it a install option or just have users never sign-in ?

(as you noted: "(provided you choose the right options)")

Users of Acrobat DC must be signed in at all times, or the software cannot be used. This is how the subscription is checked. There is a deployment option to block cloud calls that the user might use. But normal processing is local.
