I had a user that submitted a ticket because she was prompted to enter system administrator password to update Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud doesn't require administrative access everytime. Is there any rhyme or reason as to why CC requires admin rights sometimes and sometimes it doesn't?

Hello,
This article might help you in troubleshooting the issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-download-install-logs.html#error1004
It requires admin rights mostly to install the major updates/upgrades on the device wherein the end-user either does not have enough admin rights to perform the action or because of UAC (this is what I have noticed earlier).

Thank you for the reply. Is there any way to know when major updates are coming or how often major updates happen? Our policy is not to make our end users administrator on their systems. The user that submitted the ticket that prompted me to ask this question is concerned that she will have to have us update it for on a regular basis.
