Installation hangs at "writing system registry values"

New Here ,
Oct 09, 2009 Oct 09, 2009

This happens every time, on multiple machines..  After the upgrades, the file copies, after the installation is almost complete and the MSI is writing system regitry values, it hangs.

When this happens, I cannot launch Explorer either.

I have logged the installation and the last lines read the following:

"

MSI (s) (24:DC) [13:07:42:000]: Executing op: RegAddValue(,,)
WriteRegistryValues: Key: \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{AE7CD045-E861-484f-8273-0445EE161910}, Name: , Value:

"

I can duplicate this time and time again, has anyone else run into this?

I got the same problem but now it's solved.

Run Acrobat and select "Help - Repair Acrobat Installation". After the repair is over, try the upgrade again, and it may be back to normal now.

I hope this may help.
