Dear community,

Looking for some knowledge regarding Macbooks and Adobe usage.
In need of help how to optimize performance/workflow when i am using adobe programs, and storing files.

I have started a new job, where i have been handed a Macbook Pro (2015, RAM 16GB, Disk 250GB), and i am using dropbox for all files, and Adobe package installed on disk. I am having trouble with RAM space, and generally performance of adobe programs everyday.

Will the performance be better if all programs are installed on external harddisk? Or are we talking a complete upgrade of Macbook with more space?

All advice appreciated"

Hi there,

You can check the system requirements for Adobe Creative Cloud apps here https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html.

Creative Cloud apps cannot be installed on an external drive, so if your system does not meet the minimum system requirements to install and run the apps then you'll have to upgrade your machine.

Hope this helps.
