RemoteUpdateManager

We have Creative Cloud in our enterprise environement and would like to ensure the updates are forced every week after our weekend reboot. This way we are sure users are not logged on at all and it can go smoothly.

I found out about the RemoteUpdateManager and it seemed perfect however when I run it, it returns no update available while there are multiple available in reality.

The installation of Adobe Creative Cloud is made using the "managed pack" generated from Admin Console. The option "activate remote update manager" is checked while creating the pack.

Sure, sorry I forgot to add this detail, for example : 

Illustrator : version 23.1 is installed.

RemoteUpdateManager.exe shows no updates available.

GUI offers an update, when pressing update via GUI the version installed is 24.0.1

Is that considered "normal" ? The version gap is too big or something? Or it's not?

FYI : Just got this confirmed from Adobe support. The problem is the tool won't work if you try to update let's say v23.1 to v24.0.1. 23.2,23.3 etc. would work (minor version) but not from 23 to 24 which is major.This is by design...(why didn't they simply include a "allow major version update" switch? Guess it was too hard to implement somehow).

So the only way is either let the user do it manually when prompted or set up a whole local AUSST server.

Well that is a bit disappointing, but still not a huge ordeal to setup. I'm going to work on this myself as I'm trying to automate and streamline a lot of this process.
