Unable to Delete Creative Cloud Files

Hello,

I'm the 'Administrator' for our Creative Cloud Team. There are 8 users in our Team. We each have 1TB of storage.

If I delete files from my local Creative Cloud Files folder, the file sync happens, and they are also deleted from the web view https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents

The files appear in the "Deleted" folder https://assets.adobe.com/deleted

So far so good...

Unfortunately, I can also see all the deleted files of everyone in my Team. This surprises me! This means I cannot empty my Deleted Items because I don't have permission to delete files that are not mine.

I am not going to sort through the thouands of files in the "Deleted" folder trying to guess which are mine just so I can delete them.

Does anyone know firstly whether I should be able to see files that are not mine in the "Deleted" folder, and secondly, how on Earth do I permanently delete my files?

I found a workaround:

  1. Load up the web interface and find your Deleted Items
  2. Select about 100 files (select the top file, Page Down and few times, SHIFT+CLICK a file near the bottom of the screen to select all files in between)
  3. Click the Permanently Delete button.
  4. Close your web browser after 2-3 seconds and before any error message appears
  5. Reload the web interface after about 10 seconds.
  6. Repeat

After about 30 minutes I'd managed to clear out all the Deleted Items.

Hopefully Adobe can update this system

Well now I get a different message when trying to permanently delete items: "cannot delete items because somebody has restored them"

If they've been restored, why are they displaying in the Deleted folder?

Did Adobe bump up the file storage to 1TB because it's impossible to manage deleted files?

When do I get 1PB of storage?

Hello!

First, my apologies: I see this message has gone unanswered since - ugh - December and I just saw it because it got incorrectly moved to the Team Projects forum, which is a feature of Premiere Pro and After Effects, and not related to your question.

I'm not an expert in the area you are asking about but since your question ended up in my area (I'm a product manager for Premiere Pro), I will look into it personally.

I will reach out to you via email as well.

Regards,

Fergus Hammond
