Trying to launch XD CC from the Adobe Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud is installed correctly but receive "This app has been blocked by your system administrator." "Contact your system administrator for more info." We are an enterprise that had to block the Windows Store, but I have enabled the Windows Store on another computer and still get this error. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi i got to the bottom of this by turning off gpo one at a time, i had "block launching universal windows apps with windows run time API access from hosted content" once i changed this to not configured and rebooted the system the application launched.

its in policies, admin templates, windows components, app runtime

Hi,

Please refer to the following document and ensure that all relevant endpoints are open Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints

Check for software like AppLocker which can block specific apps from launching.

-  Disable windows SmartScreen using Windows's Defender

           -  Go to "Windows Defender Security Center" (Click on windows icon and search)

           -  Go to option "App & Browser Control"

           -  Mark all options to "Off"

We generally get this kind of error when "local group policy" is set to prevent launch of windows store apps.

Please try following steps -

1.  Open "Edit Group Policy"  (Either press windows key and search OR Run -> gpedit.msc)

You might need to have admin access here.

2. Go to  Computer  Configuration >  Administrative Templates > Windows Components / Store >

3. Select ""Disable all apps from Windows Store" on right pane.

4. If this setting is "Enabled", it would cause the issue being discussed.

Set it to "Disabled" / "Not Configured", and check XD launch.

Hello, I've tried all of this and I'm still getting my Adobe XD blocked. Is there any other solution to solve this issue?

I have tried other approaches in this thread and wasn't solving the problem. Later, I figured out this from a random article online and solved it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\BlockHostedAppAccessWinRT

Set the value to 0 disabled.
