Can not created PDF in FM 11

Have: Trial FM 11 - Windows 7 and a great book-file without problems (Original converted from FM 8-file). Printer set to PDF.

When I save as PDF; FM11 stops. Seems to be missing Distiller?

(I have used FM since v 5.1)

Some Suggestions?

    Do you have an earlier version of FM installed?

    Do you have another version of Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard installed?

    Do you have the install media and CD keys for them?

    In general, having multiple versions of Distiller (whether the full product, or the defeatured stealth version bundled with some FMs) is unwise.

    You may need to uninstall the older Acrobat/Distiller and re-install the FM11 trial. But only do that if you have means to reinstall the older software once the trial is over (assuming you don't end up buying or leasing FM11).

    Yuo mean that I hav to unstall Acrobat Pro?

    (I want to buy if FM11 are OK..)

    If you installed the FM11 trial using the default settings, it typically installs the PDFCreator (a "dumb" headless version of Distiller). This may have corrupted your version of Acrobat Pro. Try using the Repair option in the Acrobat > Help menu.

    Also, if your Acrobat installation is of the same vintage as FM8, then some default locations forr Acrobat components have changed and this may be also be affecting FM11's call to the Distiller.
