Question

Is it possible to edit the HTML5 template for Publish output?

I would like to add a line of code to the head element in my HTML5 publishing.

Does anyone know the name/location of the HTML5 template file?

I can't seem to find it in the install dir or in the roaming dir.

    Hi Matt,

Do not edit the files in the installation directory ;-)

    Instead, do the following:

    1. Open the publish pod
    2. Edit the Responsive HTML5 settings as needed.
    3. Save as a settings file (STS).
    4. Rename the settings file from *.sts to *s.zip or *.sts.zip.
    5. Open the zip and browse to \!ScreenLayout!\azure_blueResponsive_HTML5
    6. Open the Topic.slp file and add the element to the head. Update the ZIP.
    7. Rename the *.zip back to the original *.sts
    8. Open/import the modified STS file in the publish pod.

Let me know if it works for you.

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2019\resources\data\template\skins\en_us\html5

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe FrameMaker 2019\fminit\Publisher\ResponsiveHelpExt

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe FrameMaker 2019\fminit\RH_DEFAULT_PROJECT\!ScreenLayout!

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe FrameMaker 2019\fminit\Publisher\ResponsiveHelpExt

... but I belive editing the final output is probably easier.

    Maybe \fminit\Publisher\ResponsiveHelpExt?
