Page Numbering

I have what I believe to be a simple problem to fix. When I add a mini TOC to each chapter I need to add a blank page for my book to format corectly. The my first page is numbered 3. I need to change that so my first page of text is back to 1.

Help.

And you can be clever and set the first page number to -1 so that the third page in the document shows as page 1. Based on your description, this may be what you are trying to accomplish. However, this will be a problem if you have an overall table of contents for your book.

    Hi @ericCessna:

We may need more information but I'll give it a shot with what you have provided so far.

Page numbering in a book should be handled at the book level. In an open book, Right+click the name of the first chapter > Numbering. Click the Page tab and set the page numbering to start at 1.

This worked perfect. I just changed my main table of contents to remove the page number for the titile page.
