Adobe Fresco - Where is my work? Only RECENTS can be viewed.

I'm new to Fresco, I was a Sketch user. I assumed that, just like in Sketch, once you exit 1 work, it is automatically saved, because I see it under "RECENTS." However, now that I've made several files, I cant locate the work I've done earlier.

I tried "Your Files" tab on the left hand side, it's not there.

I tried CLOUD, but none of my new works (that aren't in recent) are there.

it's quite frustrating as I only made those files TODAY, then when the RECENT works were full, I can't find the less recent ones.

does anyone know where I can find my work?

The "Your Files" tab on the left should show 100% of all your work. What exactly do you see when you view Your Files? Is it possible you have some of your work in Folders? You may need to navigate up or down to see everything.

In the example below, I am in the "Work in Process" folder, and I have just three files there. By tapping the "<" icon at the top, I can navigate up to the top level folder of "Your Files" to see the full list of files and folders.

I by accident after working on a project for 6 hours I hit a download of a bunch of old sketch photos, which made the project I was working on in recents disappear. I can't find it anyway. Would it be deleted?

Your work isn't deleted when it rolls of the "recent" list. The recent list only holds a limited number of items in the view.

You can see everything you've ever done here:

Files | Adobe Creative Cloud

This will include other files besides Fresco's PSDC documents (if you've created other document types). Within Fresco, the simplest way is still the "Your Files" option below the Home/Learn/Discover entries on the Home screen.

The one I was missing I think I found, it is listed as an “ai” file? How do
I retrieve that back into fresco? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello @Aleks272515601sak,

Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind trying to open the Ai file on Illustrator, exporting it as a PSD, and then opening the file in Fresco to check if it helps?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Following because I'm having the same issue. I don't have a "your work" tab as others have suggested and "your files" doesn't show all my work.

What does "your files" actually show? A screen shot would be helpful. Do you have a subscription, or are you using the free starter app?

Yeah, I was wondering about that. If they're signed into Adobe account or not.  And if they were signed in,  if they tried signing out and signing back in again.

I'm having the same issue. Not all of the files from my "Recent" home page in Fresco are showing up in the My Files tab. Here's a screenshot (some folder names blurred):

IMG_0770.JPGexpand image

So there are folders, and some of my recent work, but a couple of files I worked on recently but didn't open while in the Your Files tab have disappeared on me when they're no longer "Recent" enough and get bumped off that page. They're also not in my Creative Cloud files either - that just mirrors what I see in "Your Files".

If I can't find a "Recent" file in "Your Files", but it's still showing up on my home page, I have exported it as a PSD file, then opened the Your Files tab and imported it that way.

Super frustrating and I've searched the forum quite a bit with no solution.

"Your Files" is everything you have. It's possible the file you're seeking is within one of the folders you see there.

The "Home" view has a "recent" view, but "Your Files" is just that - everything. Nothing gets bumped out of your files due to age. You can change the sort order, but that view shows everything.

Hi @Michael J. Hoffman ,

I've searched all my folders for rogue documents - there are just a couple of files I've created from the home page, not from "My Files" - and once I've maxed out other "recents", they have disappeared. I will look through again, but have just started creating new files from "My Files".

I also have this issue. There is only "Your files", no "Work in Progress" tap. I cannot find my works which I did before.  They are also not on cloud. Now I have to redraw some of my works.

The "Work in Process" in my screen shot above is a folder I created in my files. I named it that myself. See my previous answer about the Home view vs. Your Files.
