Any update on file size limitations?

I've been hoping for a file size increase for the pixel based files since starting with fresco sevral years ago. I was originally told it was based on the iPad limitations. We have a 3 year old iPad pro.

Does anyone know if a newer maxed out ipad will increase the limitation?
