Fresco: Not able to export as vector

Hello,

 

I'm designing a large format illustration, that will be printed (3 x 4 meters). I always use vector for this, since I'm unsure of how well a raster image will print.

 

I have made a design in Fresco, and would like to finish it in illustrator. But when using "send to illustrator", the illustration is flattened to a single layer, even though I choose to import as seperate layers. When opening in Photoshop, the vector layers apear to be raster, even though I have only used vector brushes, and all the layers are vector in Fresco.

 

I find that the apps aren't working as seamlesly together as I hoped. Finishing it in Ps seems to be the only solution, since Ai isn't able to open it into seperate layers. Does anybody know how I can export the finished illustration from Ps as a vector file?

    I had the same issue. The solution was for me, one of my vector layers had the 'Blend Mode' set to 'Color Dodge'. I changed that to normal and exported and it imported into Illustrator Desktop with all the layers visible. In this case about 15 extra layers that it was initially flattening.

      Hi!

       

      I've just experienced the same issue! When exporting from Fresco to Illustrator, only a few layers came out separated and the rest is all flattened in an image, even if I choose to import separate layers.

       

      I don't get it. Everything was working fine a few days ago when I tested importing my illustation into Illustrator.

       

      Maybe it's the last update that created this problem???

        I think I might have found the reason for this, but correct me if I'm wrong.

         

        I just spent hours redoing my whole artwork.

        1. I got rid of ALL clipping masks, and almost every single layer had at least one clipping mask. So I went in with my eraser, and made everything into seperate layers.
        2. I also got rid of all adjustment layers, that I had used for color corrections etc.

         

        When importing into illustrator now, it seems to be working fine. I used the "import to Illustrator" function.

         

        I think the reason is that both clipping mask and adjustment layers are Photoshop-functions, and aren't supported in illustrator. This is a major pain point though, since both are key functions for me in Fresco.
