How to write from a 2021 iPad Pro to an external Harddrive?

Hello,

     I've been having trouble syncing my work from Fresco (written from my iPad Pro as a psd file) with Creative Cloud, and subsequently using the file in Photoshop on my macbook Pro. I get an error message... I've attached a Screenshot.

     Is there a way to get Fresco to write to an external HardDrive attached to my iPad Pro?

You should be able to choose Save to Files from Export as, then choose the location of an external system. Not sure about plugging something in but I definitely use this to get to an external home server.

That's what I do to save to my various cloud storage.  I haven't done it with an external SSD
