Importing Multi-Frame Movies/Clips/Gifs/Animations into Fresco Timeline

New Here ,

I would like to import short movie clips (say less than one minute) into the Fresco timeline. (I want to trace over individual frames to create animated drawings.)

Is there a way to do this? I have tried with very simple animated GIF files, but it only loaded the first frame.

Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I am afraid it is not possible to import short movie clips into Fresco as of now. However, you can convert an mp4/GIF to a PNG sequence using Adobe Media Encoder on Desktop, or you can look for an online converter mp4/GIF to png converter by searching on Google. Then import the png's one by one and trace them over. I hope it helps!

Thanks. Please add the clip import as a feature request. Fresco is very cool! Thanks 🙂

Glad to hear that. I would suggest if you could also post it here (https://adobefresco.uservoice.com/ ). This way, you will keep getting all the updates related to this feature, & other users can also upvote, which would help us prioritize. Also, this is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.
