Pixel and live brushes are extremely pixelated when zooming in.

I have this character I'm trying to draw. I just started out drawing with Fresco today.
I created a blank page, drew my character and moved on to painting it.

When I try to paint my character's eyes, the live & pixel brushes are extremely pixelated and I can't seem to make it look good.

I tried opening a new document with higher resolution (4K) and the pixels were a bit better, but still highly pixelated and even with the smallest brush size I couldn't stay inside the lines (I'm stil not sure how to work with layers).

But, when I try to use the regular vector brush, it paints perfectly fine with no pixels doesn't matter how much I zoom in. Obviously the problem is that the colors don't overlap each other. Meaning I can't shade at all.

In the pictures below, I show the full size of my character compared to the page size, and in the other photo I show the difference between the 3 types of brushes. I honestly can't believe how unituitive Adobe is with all of its programs. I basically spent the entire day drawing this character and end up with nothing because I can't paint it, which is very frustrating. I hope someone can help me figure out how to paint with shading.

Can you tell which resolution in DPI and the size (in pixels) of your document?
I can see the character in the frame and it says 61% which doesn't strike me as huge. Conversely, your zoomed-in close up is 2500% or so and it's gigantic, so there's something amiss there...
If, say, I take a standard a4 page I get this when I click on the cog wheel (top right)

The canvas size in millimetres

which gives you that when you change the units to pixels

in 300 dpi in case I want to print it...

anything with a pixel brush (pixel and live brushes) will show pixelation when zoomed in, depending how far you zoom. The "real" look of it will come when you check it at 100%. So only check your work at 100% and zoom to get the details. That, or increase your canvas size (prior to drawing with pixel brushes)
As the linework is done with vector brushes apparently, you can resize without any problem after drawing the line work (vector will recompute and not show pixelation). And start your pixel work after that.

BTW: 4K is a video format, it doesn't really apply here (although I can check in the settings and convert it) What seems a giganormous size when watching TV, is a rather small size when it comes to illustration, particularly if you plan to zoom in and most importantly print.
That's why I always prefer setting up my files as - say -A4 in fresco which is a printed format, even if I don't print. I need the space to zoom in. The most recent piece I created was an A2 as I didn't know if I would print it or not (I didn't)
