Shape tools snap to thing on there own

I'm having trouble with the shape tools in fresco. They seem to want to snap to things on there own. For example if I'm drawing a straight line with the ruler and I have a reference image underneath the ruler will snap to the line on the reference image which is not where I want the line. I have turned off all snap functionality yet the ruler still want to snap to a position. It reminds me of the magnetic tool on photoshop how photoshop is trying to snap a line to a object. In this case it's making all the shape tools do that. Tho I do appreciate fresco adding functionality it seems when they do this the app gets buggy. Fresco if I can make a suggestion. If I want ALL aids and functionality turned off so it's like drawing with Microsoft paint and I turn it off in the menus please TURN THEM OFF. Don't embed these function without my control. It robs the creative process and makes it frustrating to draw.
