Hey there! So I've been using Adobe Fresco for over a year now, and I generally like it. However, I've been unable to figure out this strange problem I've been having.
I will find that my strokes constantly do not register - instead, the point of impact with my iPad screen will register a single dot, but the rest of the stroke does not complete. This leaves "dots" on my canvas, (circled in attached image). Sometimes, several strokes in a row will not register, leaving ~6 dots before I can finally get a single stroke in.
Additionally, I always experience lag when using brushes. It takes a split second for my stroke to register, and my stroke will not start where my pen touches the screen (attached image: stars are where my pen touches the screen; arrows are where the stroke actually started after a split second of lag).
It seems like if the app registers where my pen touched the stroke, it leaves a dot but does not leave a stroke. Other times, it does not start the stroke where my pen touches the screen, and only starts the stroke later on the screen. It's baffling.
Does anyone have any clue what is causing these issues and how I can fix them? It's really been disrupting my workflow now that I'm drawing more frequently.
Additional Info:
It is not affected by canvas size or resolution. I've had this happen to me on massive canvases with huge dpi, and tiny canvases (the image above is 500 x 500, 72dpi).
This has happened to me on both iPads I've owned (2017 iPad Pro with Apple Pencil 1, and now the 2024 iPad Air with Apple Pencil 2nd Gen).
Pictured above is the default Pencil brush, smoothing at the default (54).
I generally use the default brushes provided in the app (or are available for download in the app).

Hello @a_1806,
I am sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind checking for any pending iPadOS/Fresco updates and installing them to see if it helps? Also, check if your work is synced online (https://adobe.ly/3Yc6OOc)? If yes, try deleting Fresco, restarting your device and then reinstalling and share your observations.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

The only time I ever noticed this was becuase my Pen tip was unscrewed a bit, I tightened it down and it worked for me.
