I downloaded an upgrade from acrobat XI to XI pro. I'm on a computer hooked up to a server. When I try to install, it says, "Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed." No I don't. What do I do?

    uninstall all acrobat and reader versions.

    if windows, clean Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

    then install acrobat xi pro.

    Just speaking on this subject for Acrobat Pro 9 as someone who ran the cleaner app (for both Acrobat

    and Reader) on Windows 7 for Acrobat 9/10, XI, and PC (six runs) and who can now click on a PDF and be told there's no program in my system that can open it, I still get this show-stopping message. So I respectfully disagree that this question has been successfully answered.
