Adobe Illustrator 10 "Essentials Classic" Tool Bard

I recently bought Adobe Illustrator 10 and want to activate the "essentials classic" feature.  I have watched at least 15 youtube.com videos and asked friends who are experts with Illustrator and no one has the answer.  Could you please help me?

There is the control bar in your screenshot, which has been introduced in version CS2. So whatever you have, it's not version 10.

That screenshot is from Illustrator CS5.  I would like the same thing in my Illustrator version 10.  Thank you.

Per Monika's answer, it did not exist in Illustrator 10.

'Essentials Classic' is a workspace (i.e. a selection of panels) that replicates the 'Essentials' workspace that existed in older versions of Illustrator, before a simplified 'Essentials' workspace became default for new users. It is not a 'feature' as such, it's just an arbitrary arrangement of tools decided on by the Illustrator developers.

Do you literally mean Illustrator 10, first released in 2001? I'm afraid my memory doesn't stretch back far enough to know if that had a workspace called 'Essentials' (or even workspaces themselves). What exactly do you want from that workspace?

I don't know what it's called on these older versions.  I have Illustrator version 10.  I just want this bar at the top

You could try: Window menu > Workspace  > Essentials Classic
