Batch Action to Convert EPS to AI

So, I recorded an Action where I save a file as an Adobe Illustrator file and then stop recording. When I run a Batch using that action, Illustrator opens a folder full of EPS files, but then saves them out to my specified folder as EPS files, not as AI files.

What would be the issue? Whay isn't it saving them as AI files?

I have to use Save As to change it from an EPS to AI.

It won't let you change the format if you just use Save will it?

No, that's why I asked.

Can you share the action (or at least a screenshot)? Do you have Override Action 'Save' Commands checked?
