Best way to get swatches into illustrator from adobe color now

I've tried dragging and dropping the swatch from the libraries panel now that the panel doesn't support importing adobe color swatches directly. I can drop vectors and other assets directly into my document no problem but not swatches, the little green + icon shows up but it doesn't go into the doc. Why?

Are you trying to get library colors into your swatches. I draw dummy objects then select them and use the swatches flyout >> add selected colors. Having swatches in the library has created less need to use the swatches panel.

I think it would be nice to be able to drag and drop colors from library to swatches. It shows a plus once you are over the word swatches, but unfortunately that does not work. Also as you mentioned you get a plus sign when dragging a library color to documents pasteboard, but that does not add the color.

Maybe in a future version. You can post your suggestion in the Illustrator voice.

Hello, no, I'm using adobe color to create a swatch theme, then saving the theme to a creative crowd library. There used to be an icon in the swatches to import directly from adobe color in the swatch panel but support was dropped a version or two ago.
