Hello @Wonderland19,
Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind enabling the Retype for Illustrator add-on from the Creative Cloud Desktop application and then relaunching Illustrator to see if it helps?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Did that. Still no Apply Button. Using latest version, 29.3 on MacOS M2.

TLDR: It appears to have been removed with 29.3.
I also have a Mac OS M2 running 29.3. Retype cannot convert raster image text to live text functionality. However, my Win 11 PC was on ver. 29.1, and Retype works as advertised. I also noticed that in the menu drop-down 29.1, Retype is still marked as Beta. To confirm my assumption that this feature was removed once out of beta, I updated my Win 11 PC to 29.3. After the update, Retype has beta removed from next to its name, and it is the same with limited functionality as my Mac. I cannot create live text from raster; I only identify fonts used in the image.
So, I'm just going to assume they removed this feature. Retype now pretty much does the same thing as the Adobe Font website and something like WhatTheFont, just inside your document. What a waste of a potentially very useful feature.

Same here.
Retype has no more (Beta) tag but it seems unusable.
