Can I move an Illustrator license from one pc to another?

I had been working with Illustrator CS5.1 on an old laptop but I have now been issued a new one.

How can I move the Illustrator CS5.1 license from the old laptop into the new one?

Correct answer Test Screen Name

1. Check the system is compatible (current/new systems are not)

2. Make sure you have the installer and serial number (do not post it here!)

3. Install on the new machine, test; if it says too many activations go to step 4 and try again

4. Deactivate on the old machine (from the Help menu)

5. If it still says too many activations contact Adobe.
