Can't create ellipse

Hello everyone, so I have this strange problem when i try to create ellipse it creates it but recognize it in Illustrator as a path, so I don't have options like Shape to edit the "ellipse". Same goes for polygon tool and star tool while rectangle tool works normal.

Hope you can help, thanks in advance!

    Before or after CC 2015.2?

    Ellipses and polygons as live shapes were introduced in that version.
